'The Gulag' at Camp Vught

As part of the opening of the exposition 'The Gulag. Reign of Terror and Arbitrariness in the Soviet Union', a symposium will be held. The symposium is organized by Jeroen van den Eijnde MA, director of the Camp Vught National Memorial, and Dr Nanci Adler, research director and head Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust, and Genocide Studies, and member of the academic staff of the Amsterdam School for Heritage and Memory Studies (ASHMS).

The symposium will be held on 25 June 2015 (from 12:30 till 18:00 hrs.) at the Camp Vught National Memorial, Lunettenlaan 600, Vught, the Netherlands.

Among the speakers at the symposium are Prof. Ellen Rutten and Stephanie Kneppers MA of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Amsterdam. They will give the lecture 'Digital Gulag Memory'. Prof. Ellen Rutten is member of three research schools of the Faculty of Humanities: ARTES, ASCH, and ASHMS.
