ASH offers (small) grants to its members and groups for organising research activities, such as workshops, conferences, seminars and public lectures.
Applications are considered by the Director and are based on formal guidelines to allocate the funding in a clear and transparent way. Conditions for funding are that researchers also seek external (i.e. non-ASH) co-funding and that requests make clear which concrete results can be expected from the activity. These predicted results can take the form of, for example, publications, new collaborations (external partners, co-financers of future research) or research grant proposals.
The ASH guidelines and application form can be downloaded below.
For all directly funded ('eerste geldstroom') faculty members with a research position, funding is available to support their individual research.
The Faculty Research Fund covers the costs of conference visits, research trips, and publication expenses. The maximum amount of research expenses to be reimbursed per researcher in 2017 is € 1,200.
The Faculty guidelines and application form can be downloaded below.
The Faculty of Humanities Grant Team supports researchers who want to apply for external funding.
If you intend on applying for external funding, please take note of the step-by-step instructions published on the website of the Grant Team Humanities. By following these instructions, the Grant Team can offer support in the best way possible.
The website also offers information on (new) opportunities for external funding, upcoming grant deadlines, the support tracks organised for researchers who want to apply for individual grants and contact details.
If you are seeking advice on grant schemes or you would like to get feedback on your grant proposal, please contact the Grant Team via firstname.lastname@example.org.
