  • Profile

Since september 2023, I have been a postdoctoral researcher in Latin at the UvA. My current research project is part of the Anchoring Innovation Project (NWO Gravitation Grant), titled ‘Stylistic Anchoring in Flavian Epic’. My project focuses on the style of death scenes in Flavian epic, using these case studies as a starting point for a re-evaluation of Flavian style. I obtained my PhD from the University of St Andrews in 2023 with a thesis titled 'Narratives of Death in Tacitus' Annals'. My research interests include depictions of death in Flavian and Trajanic literature, narratology and style.

I also teach within ACASA and am the Postdoctoral representative of the research school ASH.
