    Kevin Hoogeveen is a PhD Candidate in Ancient History. In his PhD project, which is funded by the NWO and supervised by prof.dr. Daniëlle Slootjes and dr. Sofie Remijsen, he investigates domestic migration in the Egyptian countryside as a catalyst of social and economic change in Late Antiquity.

    Before he started his PhD research, he studied History in Leiden and Amsterdam. His MA Thesis on the Acta Alexandrinorum was awarded the OIKOS Thesis Prize for best thesis in Ancient History. After graduation he worked as a research assistant in the NWO project Lived Time in Late Antique Egypt on the use and experience of time.
