Supported by the RPA Global Digital Cultures, Ambient Propaganda was a research-led exhibition by curators Marc Tuters, Boris Noordenbos, and Lesia Kulchynska. Building on a concept first developed in a forthcoming International Journal of Communication paper, the exhibition explored how digital media transform propaganda from top-down persuasion into an affective, participatory atmosphere. Featuring artists from Ukraine, Gaza, and beyond, it traced how influence circulates through platforms, memes, and machine vision—where users “vibe” with ideology rather than simply believe it.
